Tell us a bit about your company’s history:
Horizon Outdoor Hospitality was founded over 20 years ago to provide professional, hands-on management for RV resorts, campgrounds, glamping destinations, and hybrid properties. We’ve grown from a small management company to a trusted partner for nearly 30 select properties in 16 states, offering tailored support across every major operational area.
In 2025, we launched Terrain by Horizon, a professional services brand built for owners who don’t need full management but still want expert support in accounting, marketing, systems, and strategy. Together, the team at Horizon brings over 270 years of combined hospitality experience to drive exceptional guest experiences, support onsite teams, and ultimately help our client partners to succeed.
What inspired you to work in outdoor hospitality?
Our team draws inspiration from our own experiences in the outdoors. Many of us have felt firsthand how camping, traveling, and time in nature can spark deeper connections—with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. Outdoor hospitality gives us the chance to share that impact with guests, and we believe those moments of connection can ripple outward to strengthen families, friendships, and even local communities.
That passion is what fuels our work every day. With a blend of seasoned industry veterans and fresh perspectives, our team works collaboratively to support property owners through both Horizon’s management services and Terrain’s professional consulting. At the core, we’re inspired by the opportunity to help create places where lasting memories and meaningful connections are made.

For owners who don’t need full management, our new brand—Terrain by Horizon—offers professional services such as accounting, marketing, systems support, and strategic consulting.
One area that sets us apart is our personalized approach and focus on building relationships with our client partners. Understanding their goals and their property’s unique needs, and then crafting a more tailored approach to help drive their success is a rewarding process. And our firm’s nimble size, deep experience across disciplines that support this space, and the way in which these disciplines are integrated allows us to move cohesively, efficiently, and effectively for our client partners.
How do you address current trends in the industry?
The last five years have brought unprecedented change to outdoor hospitality, but we draw from a much deeper well of experience. With 21 years as a management firm exclusively serving this space, we’ve navigated both past market turbulence and today’s shifting landscape by pairing long-term perspective with forward-thinking solutions.
We stay responsive in part by listening closely to guests, onsite teams, and industry peers. That real-time feedback and data, combined with our operational insight, helps us guide owners through emerging trends like tech integration, staffing shifts, and evolving guest expectations with practical, tailored strategies that prioritize both resilience and innovation.
